T-money Card vs. Seoul Climate Card Calculator

Estimate your daily subway and bus spend in Seoul, Busan, or across South Korea, how much KRW cash to load on T-money, and whether the unlimited Seoul Climate Card pays off.

Compare South Korea's T-money Card, Seoul's unlimited Climate Card (기후동행카드), and WOWPASS in Korean Won (KRW ₩). South Korea's subways and buses do not accept foreign contactless Visa/Mastercard tap-to-pay at turnstiles. Every visitor needs either a nationwide T-money / Cashbee (EZL) card or Seoul's unlimited Climate Card Tourist Pass. Enter your days and daily rides below to see which option saves you the most.

T-money vs. Seoul Climate Card vs. WOWPASS Explained

  • T-money Card (전국 호환 티머니 — ₩3,000–₩4,000 card fee): Works nationwide across Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, Gyeongju, Jeonju, and Jeju Island buses/subways/taxis. Base Seoul/Busan subway fare is ₩1,400–₩1,550 per ride with free transfers within 30 minutes between subway and bus when you tap out! Important: T-money must be topped up with KRW cash at subway kiosks or convenience stores (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven, Emart24).
  • Seoul Climate Card Tourist Pass (기후동행카드 단기권 — ₩3,000 card + ₩5,000/1-day to ₩20,000/7-day): Gives unlimited rides on Seoul-area subways and Seoul city buses (including the ₩1,400 Hangang River Bus and Ttareungi bikes). Note: It does not cover the Shinbundang Line, GTX-A, Gyeonggi/Incheon red intercity buses, or boarding at Incheon Airport (though you can exit at Gimpo Airport).
  • WOWPASS & NAMANE Card: Combines a prepaid Korean debit card (top up via foreign credit card in the app or currency-exchange kiosk) with a built-in T-money chip.
